According to the latest numbers from Net Applications, Windows 8 now holds up to 5.10 percent market share as it finally passes Windows Vista. The research firm has captured data from 160 million unique visitors each month by monitoring some 40,000 websites for its clients. Windows 8 has gained 0.83 percentage points (from 4.27 percent to 5.10 percent) while Windows 7 short with 0.48 percentage points (from 44.85 percent to 44.37 percent).
Meanwhile, Windows Vista gain 0.11 percentage points (from 4.51 percent to 4.61 percent), while Windows XP looses 0.57 percentage points (from 37.74 percent to 37.17 percent). A slow increase in market share might believe the company that it is going in right way but in actual it is still a very small market share to beat the heat.
