RIM’s Former Co-CEOs Jim Balsillie, Mike Lazaridis Received $12 Million And $3.96 Million

Research in Motion back in January appointed Thorsten Heins as company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mike Lazaridis, former Co-Chair and Co-CEO, has become Vice Chair of RIM’s Board and Chair of the Board’s new Innovation Committee and his counterpart, Jim Balsillie, remain on the board as a director.

According to RIM’s latest 6-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Balsillie received $7.93 million in payout and $4.8 million as severance package. Lazaridis received $3.96 million in salary and awards, health coverage for his whole family, a company car and driver.
