According to the latest market share data released by Net Applications, Windows 8 now up to 5.40 percent market share. The research firm shows that Windows 8 gained 0.30 percentage points; from 5.10 percent to 5.40 percent while Windows 7 gained 0.12 percentage points; from 44.37 percent to 44.49 percent.
Windows Visa saw a drop down in market share with declined 0.38 percentage points; from 4.61 percent to 4.24 percent, while Windows XP gained 0.02 percentage points; from 37.17 percent to 37.19 percent.
The data shared by Net Application was captured using 160 million unique visitors each month by monitoring some 40,000 websites for its clients.
