The search giant last November announced that it would be shutting down a number of its services which today has added Google Wave to that list. If you do not know what Google Wave actually is, it is the real-time editing service which has been read-only since from the January end. Wave initially launched back on May 27th, 2009, but failed to gain much in the way of user traction. The service won’t be completely dead — the Apache Software Foundation has been continuing the development of Wave since 2010. If you still have any waves you want to keep you’ll need to export them before the shut down happens.
