McAfee: Google’s Android Is In Greater Risk From Hackers

According to the latest McAfee Threat Report (PDF), Google’s Android mobile operating system is in the greater risk from hackers. In the first three months of the year, malware on Android surged by over 30 percent.

Not only this, but the malware has also hit high towards the different smartphone economies, including South Korea and India. McAfee says that there are about 51,000 new malicious attacks as per company’s mobile malware database of samples for the first month.

Although Android tops the chart for the mobile malware while Symbian was next in row with single-digits percent, followed by Java while other platforms, such as iOS and BlackBerry didn’t even register.
