With IHS estimation turning true of Android device shipments is soon to pass the new milestone of 1 billion unit mark in 2013, Google hours away from Apple’s big event of iPhone 5 launch announced that the company sees a total of 500 million Android devices activated globally, the company announced in a Google+ post. “Today is a big day for Android… 500 million devices activated globally, and over 1.3 million added every single day,” said Hugo Bara, Android’s director of product management.
Well, it would definitely good for Google to having such big numbers and that too sharing before the big event on the way, but certainly the real figure will be known when Apple comes out with its new device that we all are awaiting loud and clear.
