Facebook last fall only introduced Facebook Exchange (FBX), a whole new way by which people will see ads on Facebook completely based on the way their online browsing interests are. The company today taking the FBX to a new extend and introduce FBX-targeted ads in News Feed. The new FBX system is currently in alpha test stage and the company is working with a small number of demand side platforms.
The company says it wanted to give advertisers and agencies the opportunities to deliver the the highly relevant ads in News Feed. Earlier, advertisers could run standard ads on the right hand side on Face book on the desktop but with this advertiser can run Page post link ads on the right hand side of Face book and in News Feed on desktop.
Facebook aims to expand these ads availability to additional DSPs and advertisers in the coming week time.
