If you are still subscribed to MobileMe and engaged with Apple’s two-version old operating system, Apple is having something for you in store today. Till June 15, you can grab a free copy of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard directly from the source. After signing up, Apple will ship you a free Snow Leopard DVD. You’ll still be on your own to pay for and download Lion from the Mac App Store, however. Still, Apple’s effectively cutting the Leopard-to-Lion upgrade price in half (Lion is still $29.99) for MobileMe customers looking to make the switch.
