Apple Announces 30 Billion App Downloads, 400 Million Accounts And 650,000 Apps Now Available

Moments ago, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook announced that the company now having 400 million App Store accounts. “It’s the most vibrant app ecosystem on the planet. We now have over 400m accounts on the app store,” Cook added.

There are 400 million with credit cards and 1-Click buying. Largest numbers of accounts with credit cards on the internet, Cook says and 650,00 apps too. Customers have downloaded 30 billion apps and Apple had paid over $5 billion. “We’ve written checks for over $5b for you guys.”

225,000 apps are specifically for iPad. “It’s an economy in itself. It operates in 120 countries around the world. And I’m pleased to announce that we’re adding an adittional 32.” App Store will be in 32 more countries, tallying the total up to 150 countries “later this year”

“Despite these numbers, what we do together is much more important than any numbers could reflect. Our goal has always been to do great work, and make a difference in other people’s lives.”
