Twitter announced the newest ad feature, keyword targeting in timelines, rolling out today and will be available in 15 languages and in all markets where Twitter Ads are offered. This new feature will be available in the full Twitter Ads UI and through the Ads API allows advertisers to reach users based on the keywords in their recent Tweets and the Tweets with which users engaged recently.

Making it understand, the company shared an example saying suppose a user tweets about enjoying the latest album from their favortie band and it happens that band is due to play a concert at local venue. The band venue will now run a geotargeted campaign using keywords for the band with a Tweet which will be containing a link to buy the tickets.

In order to set up a campaign the procedure is very similar to the setup process for search. All you need to do is to enter the keywords you want to target, choose whether you want to use phrase match or unordered keyword march and specify your other targeting options like geographic location, device and gender and you are done.
