We earlier reported that Amazon has published a listing for God of War: Ascension before it is going to be actually announced from Sony. The listing description reads: “Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far.” The latest installment of God of War has been announced today on the official PlayStation Facebook page. The upcoming title has also been confirmed by its game director Todd Pappy of Sony Santa Monica Studios in a short blog post. The game currently has a Spring 2013 release date pegged on its official PlayStation page, however this may still simply be a placeholder until a date is confirmed.
