Germany’s Mannheim Regional Court today has just issued a decision on Apple and Samsung ongoing dispute. The decision rules out against one of the Samsung’s several infringement claims.

Judge Andreas Voss rejected the Korean manufacturer’s claim, through the reasoning behind the decision is still blurred. The issue is a Samsung pertaining to the 3G / UMTS standard – one of seven that Apple has been accused of infringing.

The validity of the patent itself probably was behind the judge Voss decision, said Foss Patents. FOSS even speculates that the court determined either that Apple wasn’t infringing upon Samsung’s petition, or if seeing other way, that Samsung has simply exhausted its IP rights.
