The better known and famous commenting system Disqus through its blog post stated that it is expanding Promoted Discovery, a new way for websites with which Disqus can be user and will help in increasing traffic and making money from the engagement of their communities. Disqus currently serving over 5 billion ads per month across 1.5 billion monthly page views and with the move will result in gaining a larger momentum for both Disqus and those who are using it.
According to Disqus general manager for audience, David Fleck, “They (Disqus users) are by definition in the conversation and more hungry for new content,”
“By powering discussion on nearly two million websites we can serve both large and niche publisher sites in ways few others can. Using a native advertising approach, we can also reach the mobile web without disruption. And in turn, we help advertisers find their target audiences, wherever they consume content.”
