According to a report by Bloomberg, the Cupertino-based giant has joined the technology company forces favoring legalization of gay marriages in the United States. The group of companies, including Intel and Facebook arguing that a California law banning marriage, Proposition 8 should be overturned.
All the eye are on President Barack Obama’s administration who have time until tomorrow to say whether they will join with the pool of these companies while other companies in the technology world that are said to be in favor of gay marriage include Zynga, eBay, Oracle, and NCR.
President Obama’s administration “has not yet said there is a constitutional right to marry, but he has been very careful not to say there isn’t,” said Evan Wolfson, president of Freedom to Marry, a New York- based national gay rights group. “The time for him to say it is is now.”
