Twitter, the world’s biggest micro-blogging website, made another move with the acquisition of Summify, a service that culls through your social media profile to deliver a daily digest of the most relevant stories to your inbox or an iPhone app.

“Our long-term vision at Summify has always been to connect people with the most relevant news for them, in the most time efficient manner”, Summify wrote in its blog post. “As hundreds of millions of people worldwide are signing up and consuming Twitter, we realized it’s the best platform to execute our vision at a truly global scale. Since Twitter shared this vision with us, joining the company made perfect sense.”

The five-person Summify team will move from its base in Vancouver to San Francisco, where it will join Twitter’s Growth team. Moving forward, Summify said it “will continue to explore ways to help people connect and engage with relevant, timely news.”
