Your wedding day is undoubtedly one of the most special and important days of your life. You’ll be marrying the love of your life, you’ll be surrounded by your nearest and dearest, so obviously you want everything to be perfect.

But choosing the perfect location that fits the wedding of your dreams can be a stressful matter. Of course, you don’t want your wedding to blend in with the rest — you want it to be a day that everyone’ll remember. If you’re looking for something that is more unique and special that matches your quirky taste, look no further. In this article, Angelic Diamonds have found the most unusual locations to break away from conventions with your special day.

Carnglaze Caverns

Located in Cornwall, this underground lake is a magical wedding destination for those who have an affinity for nature. Tie the knot in an intimate candlelit cave with 35 of your closest loved ones, sat upon a bed of crystal water. Experience not only this stunning subterranean lake but embark on a mystical walk through the Enchanted Dell. Not many other locations could offer a range of beautiful, scenic environments.

Cutty Sark

If you love the sea, this historic ship is ideal for you. Get hitched on one of the world’s most beautiful ships — the Cutty Sark. Located in Greenwich, this ship is one of the last remaining ships which transported tea from China in 1869. Begin your future onboard something with an interesting history.

There are three options for your locations; the weather deck which overlooks the Thames river, the ‘Tween Deck which was used to store cargo, and the Dry Berth, which is underneath the hull. Each option has a unique atmosphere with the ultimate wow factor.

Victoria Baths Edwardian Pool

For those daring to exchange wedding rings somewhere different, seat your guests in the bottom of this pool with lots of space to add your own bespoke decorations and additions. It might sound like a death trap, but this Edwardian pool doesn’t actually have any water in it, thankfully. Interestingly, this location has been a set for several programmes including Peaky Blinders and Life on Mars.

Alnwick Gardens

The treehouse in Alnwick gardens is again perfect for those in touch with nature. The romantic atmosphere is created by the twinkling fairy lights, log fires, suspended rope footpaths and secluded decking. You can seat around 25 guests at this ultra-exclusive location set up in the trees, with a real tree incorporated in the design.

Queen Mary University of London

Are you an avid reader? Have you fallen in love with characters in books? Make your wedding a fairy tale story and get hitched at QMUL library. With a stunning backdrop of a library of brightly coloured books in an octagon hall with a dome roof, this location is guaranteed to be like no other. This location can seat 220 guests for a sit-down meal.

Caroline’s Garden Chapel

Perfect for the eccentric couple, this chapel asylum in Peckham has a historic appeal with unique characteristics. This chapel was built in 1826, and was partially devastated in World War II by a bomb. Possessing a rich history, this cosy yet haunting scene can be illuminated with candles and personal touches. This is certainly a location for someone with quirky and unique tastes.

Cley Windmill

If you’re after a beach location with character, Cley Windmill in Norfolk is ideal for you. This quaint windmill is situated by a beach and is perfect for scenic wedding photographs. A maximum of 25 guests can attend the ceremony — but there is a reception room to celebrate with more guests later.
