Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA) today i.e. “January 18” finally results into a black out day for many technology companies.  The list includes the companies – BoingBoing, Wikipedia, Reddit, I Can Has CheezeBurger, WordPress, Mozilla, TwitPic, Minecraft and many others.

Wikipedia isn’t the only company shutting down its digital doors according to SOPAStrike.com. But many major companies has come forwarded and be a part of protest. The blackout is a way to get the two bills into the mainstream by showing people that how if the bill comes into existence will affect the people daily lives.

January 18th is going to be amazing. Sites are striking in all different ways but they are united by this, by doing the biggest thing you possibly can and drive contacts to Congress – the SOPAStrike.com put up on its website. The site ask everyone who is intended to be a part of protest by putting up the “Strike Banner” on your website or  by putting the Javascript into your header, which will automatically start the blackout at 8AM EST and ends at 8PM EST.
