Google has unveiled an alternate to online paywalls customer surveys program – the Google Consumer Surveys allowing publishers to use market research questions as a way of earning some extra revenue. The site will earn $0.05 per response once the survey is in place, users will be prompted to answer a question before accessing content. Google says this amount to around $15 for every thousand page views. A few of the publishers had already signed up including the New York Daily News and AdWeek and more biggies are expected to join soon.
