Facebook today announced that its “Every Phone” app for feature phone has passed 100 million monthly active users milestone in its mission to capture emerging markets. The app – Facebook for Every Phone app – runs on around 3,000 feature phones worldwide.
“Today, millions of people in developing markets like India, Indonesia and the Philippines are relying on this technology to connect with Facebook, without having to purchase a smartphone,” Facebook said.
The app includes Facebook’s most popular features, such as News Feed, Messenger and Photos, and offers consumers’ a complete experience for first-time users, which even includes the ability to create a new account and find friends.
