US’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency finally got the full-time persona to chair at directorial position. The organization appointed Arati Prabhakar as new director replacing former director Regina Dugan. Prabhakar has spent her career advancing technology in support for both national security and the private sector, from the early research and development from production. This is not Prabhakar first appointment with DARPA, earlier also from 1986 to 1993, Prabhakar worked as a program manager and then as founding director of Microelectronics Technology Office. From 2001, she has worked in private sector, and start-ups as US Venture partners. Her tenure with DARPA as a director starts from July 30th.
