Apple To Build Data Center In Reno, Nevada, Investing $1 Billion

According to RenoMemo at RGJ, Apple is planning to invest $1 billion in the Reno, Nevada area. The investment includes the creation of a data center, as well as opening of a “business and purchasing center” in Reno itself. The publication reports that the project will create soem $343 million in an economic impact, with some 580 construction jobs will be generated, with 41 jobs at the data center once it is completed. The company’s new data center is likely to make the company achieve a great height, but don’t start sweating with $1 billion price tag, the sum is hefty, no doubt but will result in building a new wisdom for the company.
