The Verge via Dot429 is reporting that Google launching a campaign, dubbed as Legalize Love, so as in order to put pressure on governments into recognized and decriminalized homosexuality. The idea of the campaign is to make LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) communities feel safe and accepted. The search giant also wanted to ensure its staff that “the same inclusive experience outside of the office as they do at work.”
Dot429 quotes Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe, Google’s head of Diversity and Inclusion, explained how the whole campaign will work out: “Singapore wants to be a global financial center and world leader and we can push them on the fact that being a global center and a world leader means you have to treat all people the same, irrespective of their sexual orientation.”
