According to Hiroto Nakai, a senior manager at Toshiba states that the company is planning for a May or June release date for the 8GB FlashAir card in US. Toshiba introduced its FlashAir SDHC which allows Wi-Fi devices to easily browse and download files directly from the card and can generate its own 802.11 b/g/n network. The company went on its sale in Japan in February and with the current news it is making its way to US. Although it’s also to be noted that Nakai said that company wasn’t officially in place yet. The card, which went on sale in Japan earlier this month for about ¥6,000 (about $72).
