Last week news spread over the web that ex-Nokia employee startup Jolla soon to launch Meego Smartphone as in order Nokia has drop the service of investment in Intel and opted for Microsoft. Jolla CEO Jussi Hurmola in an interview with ItViikko (via Slashgear) says that the startup had received significantly support from Nokia. Hurmola further says that the startup was assisted and supported by Nokia Bridge program. He added that “Nokia and Jolla have a good and open relationship.”

Nokia has given The Verge following statement over on this:

“We’re proud of the support from our Bridge program to start-ups founded by former Nokia people, but we have not gifted Nokia patents to any of them, including Jolla.
