Google Voice Search Update Adds 13 New Languages

Google today announced its support for another thirteen languages in its Voice Search app, bringing the total to 42. The update is already on the roll with full swing on update will be seen sometimes in next week. If your phone runs Android 2.2 or later, and you see the microphone icon on the Google Search widget on your homescreen, all you have to do is tap the icon to start a voice-powered search. Otherwise, you can install the Voice Search app from Google Play. The languages added:

  • European Portuguese
  • Finnish
  • Galician
  • Hungarian
  • Icelandic
  • Norwegian
  • Romanian
  • Serbian
  • Slovak
  • Swedish
