Yahoo today announced that it has partnered with Twitter with which the company will now have tweets brought directly into its homepage newsfeed. The digital media company says along with stories, the move will let it allow including “relevant and personalized tweet.” The integration of tweets will be rolled out completely “over the next few days” on Yahoo’s US site, with availability both on desktop and mobile.
“Updates direct from politicians, celebrities, media outlets, and other publishers have become an important source of real-time news and information,” Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer said in a statement. “140 characters can connect athletes with their fans, capture live chatter from the red carpet, and inspire global debate.”
The deal not only brought more content to Yahoo site but also huge relevant tweets from around the world, bringing a lot more exposure over happenings for Yahoo users.
