Tahiti

Winter is coming, and you are thinking about lying in cozy bed, covered with a warm blanket, watching favorite movies and TV shows, because it is just too cold to go outside. But have you ever thought to go on an island getaway, and escape from rain, ice and snow? So what if it is winter in your town, the temperatures are high and the weather is beautiful and it’s sunny somewhere in the world. If you have no idea where you could get lost for a couple of days or weeks, consider the amazing island Tahiti as one of the options.

Calling it “The Paradise On Earth” would definitely not be an exaggeration. It is one of the last places on Earth to be populated by people, and because it is so isolated from everything, it managed to maintain idyllic atmosphere. One of its most prominent features are rainforests, waterfalls, rivers and beautiful valleys. There are many palm trees growing along the coast, together with colorful tropical flowers.

Weather

Landscape

Like all the other tropical destinations, Tahiti has the perfect weather. Even though a year can be divided into two seasons, they do not differ a lot. The weather is mostly sunny, and you do not need to worry about tanning, no matter what time of the year you plan your trip to this island. The sun is always shinning, with occasional winds and rain that lasts no longer than a couple of hours.

Accommodation

Hotel

When planning your vacation, know that Tahiti accommodation -apartments, hotels and villas, like on any other Polynesian island, is going to cost you a bit more. This is a top quality resort, full of five star hotels that by no means offer one of the best services in the world. Hearing the prices might put you off or make you rethink the idea of visiting Tahiti, but you should not let that happen. You have been working all year long, saving for those few days that you are free from all your responsibilities, and you deserve to visit a place like this, at least once in your life.

Little house resort

Diving

Famous for its black sand beaches, Tahiti is a perfect place to go just to chill out and relax. However, if you are used to daily exercise and you would like to activate yourself, you can always go diving. The water in Tahiti is a bit warmer than some other places on Earth, currents are low and water is clear, so you will be able to see everything in the water surrounding you. You can chose between exploring the lagoons with colorful corals and fish, and the oceanic drop offs that also have beautiful coral reefs, but be careful as you might encounter some dangerous sea predators.

Shopping may not be the first thing you think of when talking about Tahiti, but you should definitely visit local shops that offer various local arts and handicrafts, clothing, shells, paintings, books and artwork that you can always take home as souvenirs.

Revive Your Romance

If you have someone special that you want to go to vacation, then Tahiti is definitely the right choice for you, as it is known as one of the most romantic places on Earth. The locals are very pleasant and friendly and they will do their best to make these memories last forever. As this island has one of the most amazing sunrises, you need to experience romantic canoe breakfast that is brought to you in your Overwater Bungalow, where on your private deck you can enjoy delicious continental food.

Helicopter rides are also something this place is quite famous for, as it can take you to one this worlds wonders, a heart-shaped atoll, what makes it a perfect moment for a declaration of your love and a proposal.

After that, you might consider making it, almost, official while you are still here, because Polynesian weddings are known to be one of the most beautiful ceremonies ever. However, they are not legal bindings, and you will have to make a trip to city hall, or make another wedding when you get home, but the experience that they have to offer here is hard to pass. Held at most beautiful resorts, beaches, hotel decks and chapels at sunset, Tahiti weddings will be the most romantic thing that will ever happen to you and your better half.

So do not hesitate to visit this remote arcadia, land of beautiful sunsets, as well as sunrises, a place that makes you never want to go home. There is no place like Tahiti.
