Reuters (via Jiji) reporting that Sony has halted the sales of its new Xperia Tablet S in Japan over the tablet’s splash-proofing issue. The company has promised that the customers who have already purchased the device can receive free maintenance and check-ups.
Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai during this year’s IFA launched Xperia Tablet S giving special attention to its splash-proof design. The tablet features Android 4.0, a Tegra 3 processor and 64 GB of onboard storage. It also includes a 1,280 x 800 IPS screen, full-sized SD slot and a 6,000 mAh battery.
