Introduced back in October 2010, Skype for Android has been downloaded for more than 70 million times on Google Play to date, the company revealed today through its blog post. The application now runs on close to 1,400 Android devices, including the handsets from HTC, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG and others. The Skype for Android allows you to make free video calls, share media or instantly message anyone else on Skype regardless the end users having an Android smartphone or tablet, iPhone or iPad, Mac, Windows PC or any other Skype-supported device.
