We shouldn’t be expecting the new version of PlayStation anytime soon, but rumors mills are already rounding up of the new gaming console. According to IGN, the PlayStation 4, reportedly codenamed Orbis, may utilize custom chips based on AMD’s A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU offering the combined performance of both integrated and discrete graphics processors. The A8-3850 packs a quad-core 2.9GHz processor with an integrated graphics chip. IGN has clarified that the PS3 successor’s chipset described is based on the off-the-shelf components and not the exact components themselves.
