Microsoft Asks Windows Vista And Windows 7 Users To Disable Sidebar And Gadgets Over Security Vulnerability Fears

Microsoft asking its all Windows Vista and Windows 7 users to disable both the Sidebar and Gadget features over the security vulnerability fears. Digging deeper into in it, the company has announced the availability of an automated Microsoft Fix it solution which will disable Windows Sidebar and Gadgets on operating system supported editions. Doing the so will protect customers from vulnerabilities which does involves the execution of arbitrary code by the Windows Sidebar when running insecure Gadgets. Also, to note that Gadgets installed from untrusted sources can harm your computer and even can access your computer’s files, will possibly show you objectionable content, or can change their behaviour at any time. The publication name Computerworld reports that researchers are looking out to disclose bugs and security vulnerabilities later this month at a Black Hat convention.
