Google Unveils Public Alerts, Crisis Maps For Taiwan As Typhoon Heading Towards It

With Taiwan heading towards Typhoon, Google has launched its public alerts and crisis map for the country giving relevant severe weather alerts for typhoons and flood related events. The alerts will appear on the Google Public Alerts page as well as on Google Search, Google Maps and Google Now.

Along with this, the company also unveiled Google Crisis Maps dedicated for Taiwan which will providers people the information in times when it hit by crisis. The Maps will include the ability to apply various layers of information to the map, like shelter locations, storm radar and more.

Google has worked with Central Weather Bureau, Water Resource Agency, Soil and Water Conservation Bureau, Directorate General of Highways and the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction to make this thing happens to help the people in time of such natural calamity.
