With reports surged back in April that Foxconn will invest in Brazil on a new plant, Digitimes is reporting that the investment plan is on hold as there is a disagreements over investment projects between Foxconn and Brazilian government although the company urges that it is still in talks to make it work with the country’s government.

Earlier, Foxcon chairman Terry Gou said:

In order to reduce further pressure on its existing factories in Chinese cities, Foxconn would be building high-tech manufacturing facilities in Hainan, as well as expanding operations in Brazil. Foxconn would lift workers’ overall salaries as some employees at its sprawling factories in Shenzhen had complained that they would not make enough money if hours were reduced.
