Inside Facebook reports that Facebook has begun rolling out Trending Articles boxes inside the News Feed. The boxes include images from articles as well as the first 130 characters of each one and inhabit their own space underneath a Trending Articles gray bar. We haven’t been able to reproduce the box ourselves, but Facebook has only indicated that certain topics are trending by aggregating posts from your friends that mention specific Facebook pages. The publication later also updated that they have seen the trending articles feature in the mobile feed and it seems to be a better visual fit than the desktop version.
