The history for the Apple App Store going to refresh again, as the company has officially launched the countdown ticker to 50 billion app download. The page which being available via iTunes, says that the lucky person who will download the 50 billionth app, will get an award of $10,000 App Store gift card while the next 50 people to download an app will receive $500 App Store gift card.
In order to participate, the entrants need to be of 13 years of age or older and are located in one of the 155 countries where the App Store is available. The company even posted links to official rules and guide to enter to win without a purchase or download. Also, to note that the company will show up a limit of 25 entries per person per day that will indicate the live counter.
