Bing Maps Gets 165 Terabytes Of New Satellite Imagery

Bing Maps has added a total of 165 terabytes of new aerial images taken from satellites and aircraft, announcing the publication of our largest satellite release to date. Prior to this, our existing Aerial footprint was 129 terabytes total. The new images covered include wide swaths of North and South America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia. The images covers whooping 38 million square kilometres while aircraft photography alone accounts for 1.03 million square kilometres.
