Apple Stock ($AAPL) Getting Hotter, Stood At All-Time High $609.65 Yesterday

Apple’s stock are getting hotter and hotter, the iPhone maker yesterday traded at a new all-time high $609.65 a share at around 3pm ET which is up more than 50% for the year. The stock finished 2011 at $405 and closed today at $602.50, up nearly $200 a share (+48.77%) year-to-date. he NASDAQ Composite makes up 2,500 companies, but Apple accounts for 12% of the index [PDF].

Apple’s share price on March 20th crossed $600 mark and stood at $601.10 at the close of trading. The company made announcement during its recent Conference call that it would use some of $100 billion in cash to pay out a quarterly dividend of $2.65 per share sometime in the fourth quarter of its fiscal 2012. Last week Apple shares hit $600 for the first time before retreating. Apple earlier also confirmed that it had sold out 3 million units of iPad 3.
