Apple Considering Investing ‘Hundreds Of Millions’ In Twitter, Says NYT

Twitter soon to seen its bird flying, if the report from NYT is correct. The Times’ citing “people briefed on the matter” reports that Apple has talked with micro-blogging giant in months and considering making a strategic investment in it. The Cupertino-based giant planning to make an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars means if one think of valuing it, it will come at more than $10 billion, up from an $8.4 billion valuation last year. “Apple doesn’t have to own a social network,” Tim Cook, Apple’s chief executive, said at a recent technology conference. “But does Apple need to be social? Yes.”  There is not 100% surety that whether two companies will comes into an agreement, but who knows, what’s on the chart. We’ll keep an eye on it and will inform you as soon as we will get more updates on the matter.
