It would be a great start for Windows as its market share finally gained after six months of decline with Windows 8 grabbed 1.64%, and Windows 7 passed 45%. According to the latest market share data from Net Applications, in the month of December 2012, Windows 8 gained 0.55 percentages of points, from 1.09 percent to 1.64 percent.
On the other end, Windows 7 gained 0.40 percentage points, from 44.71 percent to 45.11 percent while Windows Vista down 0.03 percentage points, from 5.70 percent to 5.67 percent with Windows XP fell a huge 0.74 percentage points, from 39.82 percent to 39.08 percent. The data comes from 160 million unique per month as the service monitors some 40,000 websites for its clients.
