The micro-blogging giant Twitter had officially announced its ecosystem has hit a massive 1.5 million apps – yes right 1.5 million. Twitter as part of the announcement thanked developers for building on the platform. The thing “interesting” to note that all the “registered apps” here does not means that apps in the ecosystem are particularly active in nature.
Twitter might not be raking in the revenue that many would like it to have, but it certainly is still taking a strong hold on many services across the Internet. According to Tip Desk, “Growth, however, has been pretty good with the ecosystem apparently, as Twitter’s last milestone of 1 million “apps” was only last July.”
Fun Fact: the Twitter ecosystem recently hit more than 1.5 million registered apps. Thank you everyone for building on the platform.^JC
