The year 2012’s Tokyo Game Show set up a whole new record of the number of visitors although with non-presence of some notable game publishers including Nintendo, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Activision. The Game Show saw a total of 223,753 visitors for the four-day convention plus the show also records highest-ever single-day attendance of 94,989 visitors on the first public day, i.e. on Saturday, September 22nd. A total of 209 companies from 19 countries showed up at this Tokyo Game Show 2012. The games organizers, the Consumer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and Nikkei Business Publications, also announced that the 2013 Tokyo Game Show will remain the same i.e. at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
