The Beatles’ ode to “peace, love, and hope” has been restored in 4K resolution and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 29th. Yellow Submarine was originally released in 1968 and to handle the delicacy of the artwork, each of the frameworks was restored by hand by Eque Inc and Triage Motion Picture Service. The Beatles are also releasing a new hardcover edition of the Yellow Submarine book on April 24th (though iTunes) and the film’s soundtrack album will be reissued on CD the very same day as the movie releases.
