Over blocking the world’s largest social networking site Facebook for about a week, Tajikistan had lifted out the restriction to the social site, opened up access again, reports AFP. Facebook with some other Russian language website was blocked last week, after authorities ordered ISPs to block access to them.

A spokesperson for one of Tajikistan’s ISPs told AFP,”Yes, we’ve allowed access to Facebook but we don’t know how long it will last. If we again receive a signal to shut it down we will have to comply.” The other sites which went on blockage include Russian news sites, namely zevzda.ru, centrasia.ru, tjk.news.com, and maxala.org, along with Facebook.
