Taiwan Government Cautions PC Makers Over Apple Patent

According to a report on ComputerWorld, Taiwanese government warning local PC vendors over Apple patent. Back in June, the Cupertino-based giant received a US patent for the exterior wedge-like design for its MacBook Air devices, means the patent could possibly create legal problems for ultrabooks and will even result in stopping the sale of ultrabook models.

“We are recommending that PC vendors be careful,” said Xue Shuhua, a public relations staff member with the office on Wednesday. “Companies that manufacture ultrabooks should avoid the Apple patent when producing their products,” Xue said.
