According to the latest numbers from Strategy Analytics, the global smartphone shipments has reached 251.4 million units in third quarter 2013, up 45% from 172.8 million units shipped in same quarter a year ago.
Android 204.4 million units shipped with grabbing 81.3% market share. Apple’s iOS is on second position with total of 33.8 million units sold with grabbing 13.4% market share. Microsoft Windows Phone platform is on third position with total of 10.2 million units sold while its market share currently stands at 4.1%.
The numbers make sense and make the game more interesting on seeing now who will make it bigger in fourth quarter of 2013.
