According to StatCounter July 2012 data, Google’s Chrome browser grabs a total one-third of the global browser market, overtaking Internet Explorer. Chrome’s global market share accounts at 33.8 percent, up from 32.8 percent in June and 22.1 percent from a year ago same month i.e. July 2011. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer remains strong with a 32 percent share, while Mozilla’s Firefox seems loosing mark, and currently stands at 23.7 percent. Apple’s Safari browser comes in fourth with a 7.1 percent worldwide market share. Along with market share, Chrome is the most used browser in South America and Asia, although Internet Explorer remains the king in the US, the UK and Australia.
