Sony earlier this week join hands with Telefonica by saying that the companies are evaluating the Firefox operating system for mobile phones and now in order to make the thing a grasp, Sony now offering an experimental version of the Firefox OS software for Xperia E, giving advanced developers an option to try it out and give their valuable feedback.
As of now Xperia E is the only device which will support the Firefox OS ROM, although there is no doubt that says Sony will definitely expand it to other smartphones with time. In order to get started i.e. flash the ROM, you need to have an unlocked Xperia E. Sony is committed to release a Firefox-OS based handset by 2014.
