Sony Merged Its Sony Computer Entertainment Asia And Japan Units Into One

As part of its “One Sony” initiative and with hopes high of constantly moving towards profitability, Sony today unveiled personnel and organizational changes, with announcing that its Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) Asian and Japanese divisions will merge into a one single entity.

The result of which the formation of whole new management unit, with SCE Japan president Hiroshi Kawano heads the newly formed joint division while the Asian unit ex-chief, Hiroyuki Oda becoming his deputy. Similarly, the departments under the divisions also merged and formed completely as one single entity.

Sony Computer Entertainment changes are as follows:

  • Providing a new Japan sales department
  • Japan section is provided in the new online service
  • Providing a new Asia Strategy Department
  • Asian Network Planning Department provided new business
