Eurogamer reports that a document filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which was spotted by Japanese news site Pocket News revealed that Sony Computer Entertainment planning to release a new PS3 model, labelled as the 4000 series. The current generation PS3 Slim is the 3000 series which is lighter than the original slim model – the 2000 series. The filing further indicates that the new model do contain Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and 802.11b/g antennae along with a pair of debugging stations, DECH-4001x and DECH-S4001x, also the part of it. The document also mentioned that “x” will be replaced and now an alphabet indicating the different hard disk specification will be put in.
