Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced its past holiday sales figure for PlayStation today. Sony says that the total number exceeds 6.5 million PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Computer entertainment system units worldwide.
Sales figures:
- 3.9+ million PS3
- 1.6 million PSPs (all models)
- 1.7 PlayStation Moves
- 500,000 units of the PlayStation Vita
- 500,000 PS2 systems
The holiday period that Sony counts is from November 21, 2011 to January 5, 2012 for Japan and Asia, from November 21 to December 31, 2011 for North America, and from November 18 to December 31, 2011 for Europe/PAL territories.
